Welcome Letter
You have been chosen to join Amaris Academy where you will spend the next four years learning how to harness the powers gifted to you. Amaris Academy is renowned for teaching the best and the brightest witches and many of you who will graduate from our house will go on to be brilliant and powerful members of The Coven. Attending this academy has been your birthright and from your first breath in this realm, we have been waiting for you to join us. And now that you are of age following your 18th winter solstice it is your time to take your place and learn your crafts.
You will spend your first year with us understanding and mastering the basics of our kind, you will begin to explore and develop your gifts. It will not be easy. Our three mothers, Mother Gaia, Mother Selene and Mother Lilith will nurture your spirit as you attend your classes and begin to understand the true extent of your power. It is at their mercy and during your ritual at the end of your first year will they claim you and provide you with one of their many gifts. Mother Gaia may give you the power to harness Fire, Earth, or Air as a protector of nature in our physical realm. Whereas Selene may provide you with mystical powers of Water, Spirit, or Light as a servant to the people who live within it. Those meant to serve Lilith will be provided with the gift of darkness.
Whatever purpose you’ve been chosen for, you must understand that it is when our kind work together, as our three mothers do, that we are able to maintain the balance between nature and reality.

The Elements
Water
Witches of Water are powerful witches who can understand and influence the flow of all water volumes. They can draw on water from large bodies of oceans to the fragments in the air we breathe. Because of their influence with liquids, they have increased ability and talent in alchemy and potion brewing.
Light
Light Witches are in tune with the world around them like no other, and the world beyond our own. They can see everything, what is not visible to any mortal. They can see and hear spirits, they can see what hasn’t been done yet. Light is pure, and from its purity they can master the ability to use it for healing. These witches are strongest during the day and in the sun. This is one of the rarest elements to have been granted.
Spirit
Witches of Spirit can read people’s emotions and be in touch with the human mind, whether it be mortal or magical. They can influence people using spells and incantations to control actions. This is a handy talent used by The Coven to ensure the secret remains intact. As well as being able to influence the mind, Spirit witches can heal and soothe the body. This is one of the rarest elements to be gifted.
Air
Witches of Air can manipulate the air that all life depends on. They are in tune to the atmosphere around us and can not only provide but take it away. Advanced witches can learn how to manipulate the air to create portals to different realms and even physical locations. Air is also a great recreational element, these witches can move through the air just as easy as they can move on the earth.
Earth
Earth Witches rely on the rocks and plant life around them. They are in touch with the earth we stand on and can manipulate, shape and move it beneath your feet. They are in touch with nature and growth, and can influence it to do as they please. Anything that comes from the earth, such as precious gemstones and plants they can use to harness and condense their powers.
Dark
Witches of Dark are the most in tune with the occult being that their goddess is also the mother of Demons. They draw from ecto-plasmic energy, and though their powers are malevolent in nature, this does not make them evil witches whatsoever, instead allowing them to embrace magic techniques that would be considered taboo but useful to our functioning society.
